Bubulo Secondary School successfully concluded Term Three of the 2025 academic year on 5th December, marking the end of a productive and impactful school term. The school administration extended appreciation to parents and guardians for their consistent support, noting that learners closed with both a circular letter and their academic reports to guide reflection on their performance.
Strengthening Teaching and Learning
Throughout the term, teachers delivered all academic programmes as scheduled. Learners participated in integration activities, Continuous Assessment Items (CAIs), and project work under the new Lower Secondary Curriculum. The administration emphasized the importance of reviewing assessment results and encouraged parents to seek clarification from the school where needed.
Students who missed exams or integration activities were reminded that they will not be promoted to the next class and must return with their parents on 4th February 2026.
UNEB 2025 Examinations
The school proudly reported the successful seating of 167 UCE candidates and 23 UACE candidates in the national examinations. Parents were advised to secure PUJAB forms for learners who sat for UACE to facilitate entry into public universities and tertiary institutions.
Student Discipline and Conduct
Overall student behavior during the term was commendable, although isolated cases of misconduct were noted, including absenteeism, dodging lessons, and possession of mobile phones. The disciplinary committee continues to take firm measures to uphold standards and encourage good conduct among students.
Uniform and Fees Compliance
The school reiterated the requirement for students to appear in proper school uniform, ensuring decency and adherence to skirt-length guidelines for girls. Fees payments remain unchanged, with O-Level at 169,000/= and A-Level at 189,000/=, payable through the student code system. Parents were encouraged to clear any outstanding arrears before the new term begins.
Campus Projects and Infrastructure Improvements
Significant development projects are progressing well, including the construction of the Science Laboratory structure and VIP latrines by the UPDF Engineering Brigade under the Ministry of Education and Sports. Renovation works for the Senior Two classroom block are also underway as part of the school’s ongoing infrastructure enhancement plan.
Co-Curricular Achievements
Students, together with staff, initiated the creation of a school anthem, which is still under development but expected to strengthen school pride and identity. The school celebrated the achievement of Wakabenga Shadrack (S.5), who was elected Chairman of the UNSA District Executive Council in Manafwa—an accomplishment that brought pride to the school.
Girls’ Hostel Progress
The Girls’ Hostel remains under school management and meets recommended standards set by the Ministry of Education and Sports. Parents were encouraged to enroll more girls into the hostel for better monitoring and support during the school term.
Community Losses and Support
The school expressed condolences to students and families who lost loved ones during the term. Special mention was made of learners who lost their fathers, including Tuuya Josephine (S.4W), Mulati Aaron (S.3E), Mukhaye Sarah (S.3W), and Lutswala Aaron (S.6A). The school extended prayers and comfort to the bereaved families.
